Web console basics

The Arq Pro web console at pro.arqbackup.com is where you manage everything: the computers you’re backing up, the groups you organize them into, the backup plans and storage they use, and your billing. This page is a quick tour of each section.

Your landing page after signing in. It gives you an at-a-glance summary of your account and a Downloads section with the Arq installers and your license code for enrolling new computers (see Getting started).

Every computer enrolled in your Arq Pro account, with details like name, group, and when it last checked in. From here you can:

  • Assign a computer to a group (or remove it from one).
  • Select multiple computers and apply an action to all of them at once — for example Set Group, or toggling whether each computer’s settings are managed individually.

Groups are how you manage many computers together. A group holds a set of backup plans, storage locations, and app settings; every computer in the group inherits them. This is the core of managing a fleet — configure the group once and every member follows.

Instead of configuring each computer by hand, you set the Arq app’s settings at the group level and every computer in the group honors them. When you need an exception, you can mark an individual computer’s settings as managed individually so it no longer follows the group default.

The destinations your backups are written to (for example an S3-compatible bucket). Define a storage location and attach it to a group so its computers know where to send their data.

A backup plan describes what to back up and when. Attach plans to a group and its computers run them on schedule.

A running log of backup activity across your fleet — what ran, when, and whether it succeeded. Use the sorting and filtering controls to narrow down to a computer, a time range, or failures you need to look into.

Surfaces problems that need your attention, such as computers that haven’t backed up recently or plans that are failing, so you don’t have to scan the whole Activities log to find them.
