Billing & your trial

Arq Pro is a flat monthly subscription with a simple overage for large fleets:

  • $250 / month base — includes up to 100 managed computers.
  • $2.50 / computer / month for each managed computer above 100.

So an account with 100 or fewer computers pays $250/month; an account with, say, 120 computers pays $250 + 20 × $2.50 = $300/month.

Every new account starts with a 60-day free trial. During the trial you can enroll computers and run backups without entering a payment method. Billing begins when the trial ends: your first charge is made on your trial-end date, and subsequent charges recur monthly.

To keep your subscription active past day 60, add a payment method before the trial ends (see below).

Your bill is based on the number of active managed computers on your account, counted at the time each charge is made. If that count is 100 or fewer, you pay the base price; above 100, each additional computer adds $2.50 to that month’s charge. The count used for a charge is recorded with it, so your billing history reflects exactly what you were billed for.

Open the Subscription page in the console to add a credit card. You can change or remove the card on file there at any time. Add your card before your trial ends so your subscription transitions to paid without interruption.

The Subscription page also shows your billing history — a list of charges with their date, description, amount, and status — so you can see exactly what you’ve been billed.

You can opt in to a courtesy email before each charge. When enabled (and a card is on file), Arq Pro emails you about 7 days before an upcoming charge so there are no surprises. Toggle this on the Subscription page.

You can cancel from the Subscription page. Cancelling sets your subscription to not renew — it stays active through the current period and simply won’t renew afterward. If you change your mind before it lapses, you can resume renewal from the same page.

If your trial ends without a payment method, or a charge fails, Arq Pro sends a series of reminder emails over the following days. If the balance stays unpaid, the subscription is eventually suspended, which deactivates the computers on the account (backups stop). Adding a working payment method and settling the balance restores service. To avoid this, keep a valid card on file and watch for the reminder emails.
